Description

White wove paper with a lilac printed edge (landscape orientation) mounted with a smaller frame of silvered lace-paper affixed with paper springs and decorated with flower scraps at centre left and right and a collage at upper centre of white satin leaves and embossed scrap of a ship on the sea with the motto: 'DO / EMBARK / WITH ME'. A 'raised' panel at the centre comprising of two layers; an oval-shaped embossed chromolithographed scrap of two peasant women in a rural scene with Cupid, bordered with a garland of flowers and fruits affixed with paper springs to a silver lace-paper framed oval (piece missing at left side) affixed with paper springs to the white wove front paper. A hand-written inscription on the verso is visible through the inside page, but illegible.
