Description

A small 48mo-size valentine with lace front decorated with an embossed flower scrap with the motto: 'IN FAITH'. A lozenge of white wove paper mounted with a small lace-paper ornament and flower posy scrap with the motto: 'AFFECTION'. The lozenge lifts up to reveal a printed verse on a roundel of white paper with a scalloped edge: 'HEART'S EASE / Dear maid - if e'er / a grief or care- Oppress / thy gentle heart, ...'. 'MEEK' stamped along the spine at centre left. The interior is blank.
