Valentine card

White lace-paper with central circular window with a scalloped edge and blind of dark green, soft, textured paper (vellum?) mounted with cut-paper, hand-coloured forget-me-nots arranged in a circular pattern with hand-painted stems and leaves. A hand-drawn border in blue ink around the scalloped edge and feather motif repeated in a further circular border. A hand-written verse in black ink (presumably by the sender) at upper and lower centre: 'Dearest say thou wilt be mine / And wed thy faithful Valentine'. A hand-written inscription in graphite at upper right corner of inside right-hand page: 'U/C'.
