Valentine card

White wove paper with an embossed border and central window with scalloped edge and hand-drawn 'coiled' border in blue ink which is backed with rice-paper and mounted with a silver paper ornament of a dove bearing a letter surrounded by hand-drawn radiating lines in blue ink. At upper centre and lower centre are sprays of hand-drawn and stencilled stems and leaves in red ink and green paint with applied cut-paper flowers. The interior is blank. '1830' is written in graphite onto the album leaf below this card. The hand-drawn elements and rice-paper panel with dove ornament are also seen on a similar card which is mounted beside this one on the same album leaf. See P.14414-R-62.
