A lithographed title and verse in gold ink: 'I LOVE BUT THEE / I after all you will still doubt and fear me / And think this heart to other loves will stray; / If I must swear --- then, lovely [...] hear / me -- / ... I love but thee -- I love but thee'. Printed below: 'J.T. Wood Holywell St.'. Contained inside a white lace-paper envelope with four flaps. One of a group of lithographed cellulose valentines mounted or found loose in album P.14417-R, some of which are contained in lace-paper sleeves and/or envelopes.
