Description

Buff embossed paper with shaped edges mounted with a second layer of silver embossed paper affixed with paper springs and a flower garland scrap as a rectangular frame affixed with paper springs to the second layer. A central oval needlework panel is affixed at the centre of the second layer. It is embroidered in purple and red silk with a title and verse: 'FORGET / ME NOT / OH! IT IS SWEET, / TIS PASSING SWEET, / THOUGH IN A / DISTANT SPOT, / TO KNOW THAT / TILL AGAIN / WE MEET, / THOU DOST / FORGET ME / NOT.'.
