Valentine envelope
Publisher: Rimmel, Eugène
An envelope of white lace-paper mounted onto the album leaf, recto face-down, a circular gold seal is affixed at the centre of the envelope flaps on the verso, which is stamped: 'E. RIMMEL / 96 / STRAND / LONDON'. The upper flap has been torn from the seal and the envelope is empty. The recto is also visible, as the envelope is only affixed to the album leaf along the left edge. The central address panel on the recto is blank. A hand-written inscription in graphite, 'Rimmel', on the album leaf below transcribes the maker's stamp.
