Thy Love is All I Ask Valentine card
Publisher: Unknown
A small sachet valentine of silver and white embossed paper with shaped, triangular corners of lace-paper. A large embossed scrap of a pink rose with leaves and berries lifts up to reveal a circular window containing a panel of white silk printed with a title and verse: 'Thy Love is All I Ask / Give me but thy love, and I / Envy none beneath the sky; / Pains and perils I defy, / If thy presence cheer me'. The card is mounted in portrait orientation but the design of the card is in landscape orientation. A wad of green tissue paper (which would originally have been scented) shows through the lace-paper perforations. Mounted with three other sachet valentines on the same album leaf.
