Description

A valentine front paper of embossed gilt lace-paper with rounded corners and with a central oval window backed with a chromolithograph of forget-me-nots against a dark brown background. A motto with chromolithographed flowers and leaves is affixed at lower centre: 'THINE / AND THINE ONLY'. The front is pasted to a secondary support of blue wove paper with rounded corners which may not be part of the original valentine. The same design of embossed gilt lace-paper is seen in no. 64 in the same album.
