Valentine card

Gilt embossed die-cut paper of a design featuring a passion flower vine growing around a trellis with an oval portrait window at upper centre and an oval landscape window at lower centre. The gilt, embossed paper is mounted with paper springs to a front of embossed, white wove paper which is printed with a lithographed, hand-coloured proposal scene which displays through the window at upper centre. A lithographed verse is displayed in the window at lower centre: 'Many days have passed in common / Many pleasure life has brought, / At last I've found the treasure, / My heart has dearlysought. [sic]'. The interior is blank.
