Description

Embossed, gilt lace-paper of a design featuring flowers, acanthus scrolls and putti (ungilded) with a pale pink slip paper and central heart-shaped panel which is mounted with a collage of green tissue paper leaves, gilded leaves and embossed, hand-coloured flowers. A central pink rose has additional silver lithographed detail. A paper scroll lithographed with a verse in gold ink is affixed at lower centre: 'Believe in me dear Valentine / My heart indeed is ever thine'. The gilt lace-paper front is pasted to the back paper.
