Description

A cameo-embossed front-paper in pink and silver of a design of classical columns, lattice-work and lunette of putti enacting a mock marriage ceremony at the shrine of Hymen. Remnants of pink paint along the upper edge of the back paper indicate that the paper was hand-coloured. A central oval window with a silver lace-paper frame is backed with a panel of rice-paper with a lithographed and hand-coloured spray of flowers. The pink and silver front paper is largely adhered to the back paper.
