Description

A 'frame' of embossed silver and white lace-paper mounted on paper springs to a front of buff-coloured embossed wove paper. The central oval window is edged all the way around with beige-coloured linen leaves (one missing at centre right). Mounted at the centre of the buff-coloured front paper, an oval panel of white wove paper with border of embossed die-cut purple flowers is printed in black ink with a title and verse: 'Remembrance / Remember thee, yes, I re- / member full well, / The first time we met I was / bound by thy spell ; / Remember thee, yes, from / the first streak of dawn. ... the / world has for me / No charm half so dear as / remembrance of thee'. The interior is blank. A hand-written inscription in graphite on the album leaf below: '2/6 [2 shillings and sixpence]'.
