Valentine card
Publisher: Mossman, David (paper manufacturer and embosser)
A valentine front of white lace-paper, which is set off by a dark green slip paper behind. An oval panel at the centre has a collage of a cut-paper hand-coloured pink rose and fabric leaves with additional stencilled leaves and stems in watercolour. 'MOSSMAN' is stamped at lower centre. The back paper is missing. A lozenge of thin white paper with lithography in gold ink bears the motto: 'Affections Offering / To thee'. The lozenge was found loose on the same page and was probably originally affixed onto the central panel below the collage.
