Valentine card
Publisher: Mullord Bros.
A valentine designed for a female child. White wove paper with a lace-paper border. At the centre is a blonde-haired young girl with a skipping rope composed of collaged textile and paper elements (known as a 'dressed' or 'paper-doll' valentine): white velvet body with shoes and other details drawn in pen and ink and a blue net skirt applied with lilac silk bow. The head and shoulders of the girl are chromolithography on paper. The skipping rope is a length of white thread. A few strokes of green paint behind the figure at lower centre indicate grass. A paper scroll with scalloped edge and lithographed message in blue ink is affixed at lower centre: 'To my Darling Girl'. MULLORD BROS is stamped at lower left. The interior is blank.
