Valentine card
Publisher: Unknown
White embossed paper (as lace) mounted with cuttings of lilac and silver embossed lace-paper arranged in a 'frame' around a central oval window with a rice-paper blind mounted with flower scraps (one on a paper spring) and cut-paper embossed leaves and a lilac paper ornament of putti with garlands. A motto printed onto a paper flaming heart at lower centre: 'Joy of / my / heart'. A small scrap of a winged putto with a dove is affixed at upper centre. The back paper is missing. Remnants of pink paper adhered to the verso indicate that the valentine was previously mounted.
