Small octagonal dish. Hard-paste porcelain painted in famille rose/noire colours, blue, green, yellow, rose, iron-red, white and black. Octagonal dish, with slightly flared and rounded rim. The four angled corners are decorated with chrysanthemums on a black ground alternating with four panels of baskets of peonies and flowers with a ribbon. The centre is painted with flower heads within a green octagonal border.
History note: H.S. Reitlinger (d.1950); the Reitlinger Trust, Maidenhead, from which transferred in 1991.
