Seated Guanyin on lotus with bird and vase. Porcelain, decorated overglaze with pink, blue, green, orange, black and white enamels, in the famille rose palette and gilt. The figure sits upright and cross-legged on a lotus flower and leaves, with an orange bird on her right and a green vase on her left. Her patterned, blue robe has gilt borders and her head is covered by a pink shawl.
History note: H.S. Reitlinger (d.1950); the Reitlinger Trust, Maidenhead, from which transferred in 1991.
