Netsuke: katabori: Millstone dresser. Wood, finely carved and stained. Figure of a smiling millstone dresser, seated on a mat behind his millstones and holding a hammer with two hands. Finely carved details. Himotoshi on the underside.

History note: H.S. Reitlinger (d.1950); the Reitlinger Trust, Maidenhead, from which transferred in 1991.
