Netsuke: katabori: Rat-catcher. Ivory, carved and stained. Figure of a robed rat-catcher crouching over his grain-measure and grimacing as the rat scampers over his back. Incised and stained details. Himotoshi through the back of the grain-measure.

History note: H.S. Reitlinger (d.1950); the Reitlinger Trust, Maidenhead, from which transferred in 1991.
