Description

Netsuke: katabori: Seated tea-server. Ivory, carved and stained. A Chabozu (tea-server) having fallen asleep on a tea-mill; his head resting on his hands. The lines of his clothes are carved in free flowing form. Himotoshi through the base.

History note: H.S. Reitlinger (d.1950); the Reitlinger Trust, Maidenhead, from which transferred in 1991.
