Description

Netsuke: katabori: Oguri Hangwan. Boxwood, carved and stained. Light. Group of Oguri Hangwan seated on his horse (Oni-Kage) clutching his sword, his cloak flying out behind and urging his horse to keep all four hooves on a go table. Crudely carved details of mane, tail and bridle; the chequered table rests on four legs. Natural himotoshi formed through the legs and tail.
