Description

A double-ended court card featuring a bearded king wearing a crown and red cloak with sceptre and shield resting against his left shoulder. He holds aloft a large coin with an urn design at the centre in his right hand. The opposite image holds a coin with a radial design at the centre. The card is untitled. From a complete set of 52 Greek playing cards of the Venetian type. Lithography in black ink, coloured with three stones of blue, red and yellow. The backs of the cards feature a lithographed design in blue ink of a repeated crown pattern.
