Pottery: Unidentified Cypriot pottery (Probably)
Pinkish-buff earthenware, thrown, coated with cream slip on the interior and upper part of the exterior, the interior painted in green under lead-glaze. Circular with deep curved sides, contracting slightly at the top, standing on a footring. The interior is decorated with a rectangle with incurved sides, containing an S or G. A green band round the inner edge of the rim.
History note: H.S. Reitlinger (d.1950); the Reitlinger Trust, Maidenhead, from which transferred in 1991.
