Lithograph (uncoloured) on white wove paper. Inlaid within a frame of buff wove paper (approx. height 360mm x width 515mm). Grey (left) and Brougham (right) sit together at a dinner table. Grey says: 'B_ I fear the worst. / If you have faith in omens, / listen! as I entered this House / I though I saw - I say I _thought_ / I saw the sign of a _Red Lion._ *'. Signed with monogram at lower left: 'HB'. Title printed below the border: 'A LATE SCENE AT HOUNSLOW AT THE / SIGN OF THE _RED_ _LION_'. Below the title [relating to Grey's speech]: '* "Take any shape by that, and my firm nerves shall never tremble" Macbeth'. The publisher's details printed below left: 'Published by Thos. McLean, 26, Haymarket, May 16th 1832.'. A small, circular blind stamp at lower left: 'THOs. MCLEAN'. Printer's details below the border at lower right: 'A. Ducôté's Lithogy. 70 St Martins Lane.'.
