Lithograph (uncoloured) on white wove paper. Inlaid within a frame of buff wove paper (approx. height 360mm x width 515mm). Lord Grey, wearing a suit or armour, rides a bony white horse in profile towards the left. John Bull wears historical costume and sits on a donkey, following behind on the right: "I beseech your Worship, good Sir / Knight-errant, that you forget not your / promise concerning that same Island; for / I shall know how to govern it, be it never / so big.". Signed with monogram at lower left: 'HB'. Title printed below the border: The publisher's details printed below: 'Published by Thos. McLean, 26, Haymarket, June 7th 1832.'. A small, circular blind stamp at lower left: 'THOs. MCLEAN'. Printer's details below the border at lower right: 'A. Ducôté's Lithogy. 70 St Martins Lane.'.
