Grey and Brougham display a peep-show to John Bull (bending down and peering through a hole in a board). The board proclaims: 'RAREE SHOW / NEW VIEW / of the / GLORIOUS TRIUMPH / of / REFORM!'. Grey, in the left foreground plays pan pipes and bangs a drum and Brougham, seen in profile on the right, blows a trumpet. Hume stands next to Brougham, his finger on his nose. Althorp in centre foreground leans forward to steal a purse from John Bull's pocket. He holds out a hat to the Tsar Nicholas of Russia, who stands at the far right. Behind Althorp is Palmerston (seen from behind) who talks to Peel. Signed with monogram at lower left: 'HB'. Title printed below the border: 'A SHOW UP!'. The publisher's details printed below left: 'Published by Thos. McLean, 26, Haymarket, Augt. 1st. 1832.'. A small, circular blind stamp at lower left: 'THOs. MCLEAN'.
