Lithograph (uncoloured) on white wove paper. Inlaid within a frame of buff wove paper (approx. height 360mm x width 515mm). Lord Grey, as an antique statue of 'SATURN', stands on a plinth holding a large male infant with the face of Daniel O'Connell. The babe holds the handle of a large, upright scythe in his right hand. Signed with monogram at lower left: 'HB'. Title printed below the border: 'A MODERN ANTIQUE.'. The publisher's details printed below centre: 'Published by Thos. McLean, 26, Haymarket, March 5th. 1833.'. A small, circular blind stamp at lower left: 'THOs. MCLEAN'. Printer's details given below publisher: 'A. Ducôté's Lithogy. 70, St. Martins Lane'. Printed above the border at upper right: 'HB Sketches No. 245'.
