Lithograph (uncoloured) on white wove paper. Inlaid within a frame of buff wove paper (approx. height 360mm x width 515mm). Lord Grey, as Actaeon, wearing a tunic and with antlers on his head, is attacked by a pack of four dogs, with the heads of, from left: Edward Ellice, Lord Duncannon, Lord Althorp and Lord Palmerston. In the background to the left, a man (Daniel O'Connell) in the character of Diana, with a crescent moon on his head. Signed with artist's monogram at lower left: 'HB'. Title printed below the border: 'ACTAEON'. The publisher's details printed below the border to the left: 'London Published by T. McLean, 26, Haymarket, Sepr. 1st. 1834'. A small, circular blind stamp at lower left: 'THOs. MCLEAN'. The printer's details are not given. Printed above the border at upper right: 'HB Sketches No. 339. P.14767-R is another impression.
