Lithograph (uncoloured) on white wove paper. Inlaid within a frame of buff wove paper (approx. height 360mm x width 515mm). Lord Brougham stands in his nightgown and nightcap on the left, a portly man at the centre introducing him to two men (from the 'Philosophical Institution of Fareham') who bow before him on the right. Another man stands behind them at the far right. Signed with artist's monogram at lower left: 'HB'. Title printed below the border: 'MISTAKE AND NO MISTAKE, / A Scene at Shanklin, Isle of Wight.'. The publisher's details printed below the border to the left: 'Published by T. McLean, 26, Haymarket, Octr. 30th. [1830].' The date of publication has been printed incorrectly as 1830 instead of 1834. Printer's details below the border to the right: 'Ducôté & Stephen's Lithogy 70, St. Martins Lane.'. Printed above the border at upper right: 'HB Sketches No. 343'.
