Description

Fünftes Blatt' [Plate Five], printed at upper centre. Wood-engraving with a yellow tint. Death stands nonchalently on the barricade, still wearing his Revolutionary 'uniform' and holding the flag in his right hand. He is unhurt by the missiles fired by the soliders from the right, unlike the men to the left. Four verses by Robert Reinick are set out below the image.
