Canada General Service Medal

Issued by the Canadian government to British and Canadian forces who took part in operations to put down the Fenian raids of 1866 and 1870 among others. The two clasps on this medal are inscribed with "FENAIN RAID 1870" and "FENAIN RAID 1866". The ribbon is of two orange red stripes either side of a white stripe (faded).
History note: Possibly given by the Royal Mint as examples of Military medals.
