Awarded for the involvement in all incidents of the Anglo-Boer War with clasps given to indicate different campaigns. This medal has five clasps inscribed with "CAPE COLONY", "TUGELA HEIGHTS", RELIEF OF KIMBERLEY", "TRANSVAAL", and "BELFAST". The ribbon is red with two narrow dark blue stripes with a central broad orange stripe.
History note: Possibly given by the Royal Mint as examples of Military medals.

Inscription present: Jubilee bust of Queen Victoria.
Inscription present: A standing figure of Britannia holding a Union Jack and a laurel wreath towards a group of soldiers with a warship towards the left.
