Khedive's Sudan Medal

Granted to those who served in the reconquest of Dongola province in the Sudan. Instituted by the Khedice of Egypt. It was awarded to officers who served on the Nile steamboats. The clasp is inscribed with "KHARTOUM". (Could be an unofficial bar because of arabic writing). The ribbon is gold with a broad central blue stripe.
History note: Possibly given by the Royal Mint as examples of Military medals.
