Notes

History note: Lady Louisa Stewart (1798-1844), the first wife of George, 6th Duke of Marlborough (1793-1857); given to her eldest daughter, Lady Louisa Spencer-Churchill (c.1820-82), who married Colonel The Hon. Robert Charles Henry Spencer (1817-81); bequeathed to their daughter, Blanche Louisa Spencer (d. 1919), who married Captain Henry George Fane (1846-1924); to their second son, Hubert William Fane; to his son, Major Robert William Augustus Fane (d. 6 April 1989); to his widow Elinor Valerie Borthwick, who gave it to her son, 1991.
