Inscription present: Half length figure of the Earl of Essex, in armour, falling lace collar, and scarf round his body, sword in hand. Over his head "S. X." for Essex.

  • Text: Should hear both houses of parliament for true Religion and subjects freedom stand. (in exergue) Pro Religione . lege . Rege . et . Parliamento.
