Description

Box, lacquer, with lid. Small elongated oval box. The black ground on the lid and base is finely powdered in gold and silver and the sides are decorated with a gold and silver diaper-pattern; the lid has a floral spray of a lily and a chrysanthemum in hiramakie (low-relief sprinkled design). The interior is decorated with nashiji (shimmering spangles).
