Commemorating Surgeon General Carol Davila (1828-1884) on the centenary of his birth. Edge stamped ‘BRONZE’, ‘JTD’ within triangle and ‘EPREUVE D’AUTEUR’. Probably unique, “engraver’s trial” as specified on the edge.
