One modern imitation of a gold Ottoman coin
Mahmud II (1808-1839), Æ Cedid Mahmudiye Yirmilik, rev. Duribe fi Kostantiniye 1223. Above 25? (cf. Pere 773), 1.24g, pierced. This object was produced most probably in the second half of the 19th century to be used as jewellery.
