China, Chinese Tea Company, tea-brick, on obverse ornate gate, rocks and trees either side, five stars in panel above, Chinese inscription in two lines in panel below translated as ‘Chinese Tea Company / Made by Tea Brick Company [Zhoa-Li-Diao]’, on reverse grooves for division of the tea-brick into sixteen parts, 185 mm wide x 235 mm high x 20 mm thick.
