Wyke House School, Syon Lane, Isleworth, Middlesex, obv. MATHEMATICAL PRIZE / WYKE * HOUSE * MIDDLESEX, Pythagorus diagram; rev. DISCERE NE CESSES CURA SAPIENTIA CRESCIT (‘Wisdom grows with care, see that you do not stop it’), oil being poured into a lamp (of knowledge); inscribed on the edge ‘WILLIAM JEAKES - 18TH JUNE 1831’ (unpublished; cf. Davis and Waters 1922, p. 280, no. 572, for a Wyke House prize for Greek and Latin); struck silver medal, 45 mm, 57.40g.
