For the most part, the songs are taken from the various folio volumes of Thomson's 'A selection collection of original Scottish/Welsh/Irish airs'.
Letterpress colophon: Edinburgh : "Printed by John Moir for the proprietor G. Thomson, Royal Exchange, Edinburgh, 1822."
Title page signed by the proprietor "G. Thomson".
Engraved music interleaved with letterpress song texts with duplicate numbering (p. 1-50); actually there are 52 (1 and 41 used twice) pages of engraved music and 47 (13-14, 41 omitted) pages of printed text.
