The numeration of the leaves in Burne-Jones manuscript list is in consecutive odd order. The missing folios in the sketch book correspond to the missing odd numbers on the top of these leaves, with the exception of number 71, which should be on folio 27 recto. This leaf however has no number on it. The leaves before and after folio 27 have the numbers '69' and '73' respectively in their upper right corner. In the manuscript list Burne-Jones states that number 71 depicts the sketch of Fortitude, the unnumbered folio depicts a sketch of an entire figure with a draped garment.
