Footed bowl. Clear glass, blown, and diamond-point engraved, with etched mark. Circular with flaring sides, short stem, and plain, circular foot. Diamond-point engraved on the foot 'd.d. AMICI' and round the top of the bowl 'HCH Parvum hoc non parvae amicitiae pignus', followed below by the signatures of those who presented the bowl, 'Cecil Bourn Oliver Churchill/ Cumberland Damborn Doreen Gemble Douglas Harding, Peter Bicknell/Angela Hatton Robin G Hill Francis Hookham Juliet Johnson/Catherine Matthews T.F. Morris F.W.O. Haslop/Michael Mil?in/Graham Pollard M.M. Postan'.
