Recto (1): from Bonifazio's 'Rich Man's feast', in the Accademia, Venice, (Berenson: Italian Painters of the Renaissance', Phaidon, pl. 90). Verso (1): this is the background vessel, and the flag (2) is a copy of that found at the left of Carpaccio's painting 'The Return of the Ambassadors to the King of England', from the cycle of the Scuola di Sant' Orsala. (Lautts pl. 36).
