One of three Irish school prize medals
Rev. J. P. Sargent's Academy, Dublin, struck medal, by John Jones (c.1798-c.1875), with hinged loop added, n.d., but the obverse die was apparently also used for a medal of Rev. D. Flynn's Academy awarded 1847/48 (Grimshaw, Scottish and Irish Schools, no. 145); 42 mm. This specimen appears to have been unissued as there is no recipient's name. Unpublished; no medals of this school recorded.
