Description

Pot and lid. White earthenware, the lid decorated with a multicolour underglaze transfer print and gilt; the pot marbled in grey. The cylindrical pot splays out slightly towards the base, which is recessed. At the top it has a ledge to support the cover, which is domed with a narrow rim. The cover is decorated on top with a 'Floral Subject with ribbed vase' against a brown background surrounded by a scallop and trefoil border, with a gold band round the edge. The pot has an irregular marbled pattern all over in grey.
