Description

The recitatives from Semiramide riconisciuta, first performed 30th October 1733, were probably the first items written on this leaf, then the abandoned sketch for the aria Sdegnata sei con me from Arianna (the full score of which was completed on 5th October 1733). The other sketches were added later: Ariodante was composed in 1734.
The bottom of the leaf (with lines 9-10) has been torn off.
Manuscript in the hand of George Frideric Handel.
