With frontispiece portrait of "George Frideric Handel" by "J. Houbraken, sculps. Amst." with a scene below engraved by Hubert François Gravelot (page [2]), title page (page [3]), and an "Index" (page [5]).
Founder's bequest, 1816. Inscribed on title page: "R. Fitzwilliam, 1772".
Received bound in royal blue paper spine marbled paper sides (sample preserved). Rebound in quarter goatskin with marbled sides and vellum tips, and with original paste-downs retained by Angela James, 1980
