"Played at Exeter Hall 23d July 1844 with orchestral accompaniments by J.L. Brownsmith. Ditto Hannover Square, May 25th 1847. JLB" -- annotation in pencil on pp.54-55 by a Mr. J.L. Brownsmith, who also added some organ registrations in pencil.
Watermark : "WR" below Fleur de lis in crowned shield ; countermark: "I VILLEDARY" (Burrows E*a)
Dated ca.1736-41 according to evidence from musical contents and paper characteristics (see D. Burrows).
